Helen Dayley-Holmes
She became the first woman to receive an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for her work on The English Patient. Born in 1952 she attended New York University before moving to London where she became a costume designer at Warner Bros. When she moved back home to Los Angeles she began working for directors George Lucas and Ridley Scott. Her other credits include Legend, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Batman Begins and Gladiator.
