All Weather AC Gives Value for Money.

All Weather AC

Air conditioners are expensive appliances that you only buy a little. Normally, people do a lot of research before deciding on a particular model. Once they buy an air conditioner, they expect it to serve them for many years. Are you also one of them and thinking of purchasing the best model for your home? The general weather keeps changing in a country like India, with temperatures reaching almost 50 degrees Celsius at the peak of summer. Even after the end of the summer season, the high humidity level keeps people uncomfortable. Considering all these factors, you should choose an all weather AC that serves you well throughout the year.

There are usually two types of air conditioners in the Indian market- Window air conditioners and Split air conditioners.

Window Air Conditioner

The first type is the conventional window air conditioner, the most popular model. We have seen their usefulness for over the last seventy years. If you go to any residential or commercial building, you are more likely to see such air conditioners. Even today, six out of every 10 air conditioners sold are window air conditioners. There should not be any doubts about their quality, especially if they have been there for such a long time and so many people buy it.

Advantages

The most important advantage of a Window air conditioner is the ease of installation. It’s a single-unit appliance without any additional attachments. You must fix it in the window, secure all the gaps, and connect it to the power supply. It’s so easy to install that there is no need for a service engineer. However, installation is free for a new air conditioner. It’s also very easy to operate and remains trouble-free for a long time. In repair, you can easily get a trained mechanic in your neighbourhood. Spare parts are also very affordable and easily available.

Split Air Conditioners

The second type of model is called a Split air conditioner. Such models came much later than window air conditioners; as the name suggests, they have two units. The internal unit is installed inside the room, while the external unit remains outside the home. They look better and cost more than window air conditioners. Nowadays, commercial buildings prefer such models because, besides being efficient, they also enhance the aesthetic looks of the space.

Advantages

Such air conditioners are more power efficient and consume less energy than traditional Window air conditioners. They also operate silently, making them ideal for offices and bedrooms because you don’t want any unnecessary noise in such places. Since they are technically more advanced, they will likely be in use for a long time. Split air conditioners have many additional features that make them ideal for an all-weather AC

Price factor

The price of an air conditioner depends on its type and capacity. Therefore, a 1-ton Window air conditioner from a popular brand will cost you Rs 28,000. Split air conditioners of the same capacity will cost you in the range of 35,000 to 40,000. Such models are suitable only for small rooms of 150 sq ft. For a bigger room of 180 sq ft, you will need a 1.5-ton AC. Now, a 1.5 ton will cost you around Rs 32,000 to 35,000. If you decide to go for Split air conditioners at the same capacity, you will pay Rs 45,000.

Before purchasing an all-weather AC, it’s important to consider your requirements and budget. If you don’t have a fund shortage, you should only consider Split air conditioners because they give you value for Money.
