One of the things that Papa Johns CEO Rob Lynch is great at is continually updating the menu to meet the customer’s needs and wants. To satisfy those going through the Keto diet craze and for those looking to limit their carbohydrates, Lynch introduced the Papa Bowls. Not only are they satisfying, but they are extremely versatile, and you can choose what goes in your bowl and switch it up with each order.
No Crust, All Toppings
These pizza bowls are exactly what they sound like: Take the components of a pizza, get rid of the crust, and put it in a bowl, where it can be easily eaten with a fork. Cheese, sauce, and toppings are baked together and served piping hot to deliver a tasty lunch or dinner.
The chefs at Papa Johns put together three creations that you can choose from. The garden veggie contains onions, mushrooms, spinach, green peppers, banana peppers, and tomatoes. The veggies are combined with pizza sauce, three cheeses, Italian seasoning, and garlic parmesan.
The Italian meats trio contains meatballs, pepperoni, sausage, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, pizza sauce, cheese, and Italian seasoning.
If you do not care for pizza sauce, the chicken alfredo is a good choice. It combines chicken, onions, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes with garlic parmesan and creamy alfredo sauces, cheese, and Italian seasoning.
Build Your Own Bowl!
Although you can order one of the chef-inspired creations, you can also make all the decisions on your own. Start by choosing your sauce from these options:
- Pizza
- BBQ
- Buffalo
- Ranch
- Alfredo
Next, choose a 3-cheese blend or parmesan romano. Next, load on the toppings. Traditional meat options include chicken, pepperoni, sausage, and Canadian bacon, but additional options include:
- Bacon
- Meatball
- Beef
- Salami
- Anchovies
- Philly steak
There are many vegetarian options, as well. Along with the ones listed in the garden veggie bowl, you can choose from black olives, jalapeno peppers, and pineapple.
Perfect Accompaniments for Papa Bowls
Another thing the Papa Johns CEO has done is make sure the menu contains a wide variety of items. There are a number of ways you can round out your Papa Bowl meal. If skipping carbs is your intent, try the chicken wings. These provide both protein and great flavor. Try the original buffalo flavor or branch out and try:
- Hot lemon pepper
- BBQ
- Honey chipotle
- Garlic parmesan
If you are eating carbs, Papa Bowls are perfect with one of the many side offerings. The original or garlic parmesan breadsticks are great to dip into your bowl. If cheese is your thing, try one of the cheesesticks, such as bacon, green chili, or jalapeno bacon. There are also garlic knots and chicken parmesan Papa Bites.
Once you are finished with your Papa Bowl, you may be looking for something sweet, and there are numerous dessert options. The Twix Papa Bites are only available for a limited time, but other sweet treats include the double chocolate chip brownie, chocolate chip cookie, cinnamon pull aparts, and Oreo Cookie Papa Bites.
