This is it! It’s really happening. You are planning your dream wedding in Thailand. Getting here is an exhausting trip on its own, but we have that part solved. Living in Thailand is a dream of its own. Your wedding day and entire marriage should be as well.
No time to waste. We need to decide on Thailand wedding venues. Pro tip- Pay attention to seasons and your wedding dates. Rainy season happens every month in a different Thai province. There is a hot season, a fire season, a monsoon, and the dreaded tourist season. Plan wisely, all resorts say they are ideal.
- We will start with Koh Samui. I thought I could melt away in relaxation on some of the beaches. The quality of resorts has been increasing to epic levels. With limited land, developers and engineers had to be creative and the results were jaw-dropping. This island is accessible by multiple large ferry services and possibly the quaintest airport of all time.
- For a deeper experience of Thailand’s nature, head to Kanchanaburi. This area full of jungle mountain peaks and lush steaming valleys offers an amazing sky any time of day or night. Wrap your wedding in the beauty and fresh air of the Thai Mountains and infinity pools.
- Phuket is big and it has a lot of options. You can drive to this massive wonderland of wild animals and wilder humans. Don’t be mistaken. While there is a party to be found on this island; if your preference is tranquillity, it can be reached.
- On the quieter side of Thailand, rests the smaller, quieter island of Koh Chang. The interior of this island is a national park. The west side is covered in various resorts to pay worship to the beauty of the sun setting on the Bay of Thailand. You can dive with whale sharks in the right season. This is another island I could easily melt into and disappear. The relaxing vibe and slow pace are frustrating and then addictive.
- The ultra-metropolis of Bangkok can meet any level of wedding plan you can imagine, including rooftop venues in hotels with full catering and event needs. The wedding reception can be contained in a swanky ballroom in the style of foreign royalty or descend upon the city from tricked-out tour buses as you are escorted through the spectrum of libation locations.
- Show your foreign arriving guests some sympathy and schedule initial downtime before expecting conscious participation in important tasks. Give them a business card of the hotel for any taxi needs. Tell them to keep their passport secured in the room if the hotel doesn’t require it. Help them exchange some cash, not at the hotel.
- Heading to the village is the best Thai venue. No planning. Just keep the food and drinks flowing for three days while everyone enjoys your hospitality and pays blessings to your union and future.
The most important thing is your future together. No matter what choices you make, always choose each other first.
